Improworkshop in englischer Sprache

Improvisationstheater hat Punk im Blut, Punk durchzieht diese Theaterform von Natur aus. 

Von den Anfängen der Commedia Dell'Arte bis zur heutigen weltweit reichhaltigen Improvisationsszene entspricht das Improtheater absolut den Ansichten der Punk-Mentalität. In diesem Workshop laden wir unsere inneren Punks zum Spielen ein, hinterfragen die etablierten Wege des Impros, stellen die Methoden des narrativen Geschichtenerzählens in Frage und versuchen gleichzeitig, in einem Ensemble zusammenzuarbeiten. Wie schafft man Raum und wie nimmt man ihn ohne Reue ein?

Wir schaffen einen Ort, in dem ihr frei sein könnt, zu tun, was ihr wollt, und dabei mit eurer „Band“ von Improleuten auf der Bühne eine Szene gestaltet. Wir finden Wege und Werkzeuge, um Regeln zu brechen und unbekannte Gefilde kreativer Freiheit zu erkunden.

Sara Šoukal (Slowenien) ist eine Theaterkünstlerin mit langjähriger Erfahrung. Als Schauspielerin und Pädagogin ist sie vor allem im Bereich der Theaterimprovisation tätig, die sie als ihre erste Liebe bezeichnet. Mit 9 Jahren entdeckte sie ihre Leidenschaft zur Improvisation und seitdem sind sie unzertrennlich. Ihre Improvisationsästhetik ist poetisch, körperbetont, traumhaft und detailreich. Nichts entgeht ihrem Blick. Sie neigt dazu, Muster zu durchbrechen, und fordert sich selbst und andere mit mutigen, unkonventionellen Angeboten heraus. Sie ist entschlossen, das Improtheater als etablierte und anerkannte darstellende Kunst auf die Landkarte der Theater-Subgenres zu bringen. In letzter Zeit hat sie mit großer Freude und Interesse auch andere darstellende Künste für sich entdeckt. Sie liebäugelt mit Straßentheater, konzipiertem Theater, zeitgenössischem Tanz, Objekttheater und Clownerie. Sie ist eine der aktivsten und bekanntesten Improvisationskünstlerinnen Sloweniens und arbeitet auch im Ausland in vielen Improvisationskollektiven, Theatern und Vereinen.

Sara unterrichtete und/oder trat auf in Australien, Österreich, Belgien, Kolumbien, Tschechien, Dänemark, Finnland, Frankreich, Deutschland, Ungarn, Polen, Irland, Italien, Spanien, Schweden, den Niederlanden, Großbritannien, den USA usw.

Sara Šoukal: Punk's not dead (improv workshop in English language)

Improvisational theater has punk in its veins, punk runs through this theater form by default. From the early beginnings of Commedia Dell’ Arte to today’s abundant worldwide improvisational scene, improvisational theater absolutely ticks the viewpoints of punk mentality. In the workshop we will invite our inner punks to come and play, we will question the established ways of improvising, we will challenge the methods of narrative storytelling and at the same time still try and co-operate in an ensemble. How to give space and how to unapologetically take it? We will create space where you will have the freedom to do what you want as you want, while you still construct a scene with your “band” of improvisers on stage. We will find ways and tools to break rules in order to venture into uncharted territories of creative freedom.

Sara Šoukal (Slovenia) is a well seasoned theater artist with years of experience. As an actress and as a pedagogue she is most active in the field of theatrical improvisation, for which she says is her first love. She fell in love with improv when she was 9 years old and they have been together ever since. Her improv aesthetic is poetic, physical, dream-like and full of details. Nothing escapes her eye. She tends to break patterns, she challenges herself and others with bold offers that are out of the box. She is determined to put improvisational theater on the map of theater sub genres as an established and recognized performative art. Lately, she has been setting her foot in other performative fields with great joy and interest. She has been flirting with street theater, devised theater, contemporary dance, object theater and clowning. She is one of the most active and prominent improvisers in Slovenia, working also abroad, in many impro collectives, theaters and associations.
